Dental Cleaning

Also known as teeth cleaning or dental prophylaxis, is a preventive dental treatment that involves removing plaque, tartar, and stains from the teeth to prevent gum disease and tooth decay.

During a Dental Hygiene appointment, a Dental Hygienist will examine the patient’s mouth and use dental tools such as a scaler or ultrasonic cleaner to remove any build-up on the teeth. They may also use a polisher to remove surface stains. The procedure is painless and non-invasive and typically performed every six months as part of a regular dental check-up.

‍The Hygienist may also provide tips on maintaining good oral hygiene at home, such as proper brushing and flossing techniques.
